Putting a lock on gun safety in your home. Project child safe is a nationwide program to help ensure safe and responsible firearms ownership and storage, developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and supported by a United States Department of Justice grant. The cable-style gun locks are distributed free by the Lawrence County  Sheriff's Office.
